Joea! nn Hoyt: The School of Education at High Point University is fantastic! A wide variety of licensure areas and majors are offered including elementary, special, middle, and secondary grades. Master's programs include Educational Leadership and a five year program in elementary education, where students can come out of High Point University with a master’s degree in five years of undergraduate and graduate work. The education courses are fulfilling, interesting, and prepare students for their future as teachers. I strongly believe that the teacher education curriculum, which places students in fieldwork opportunities in the local schools as early as freshmen year, is one that is strong, making it one of the best majors at High Point University. Not to mention the HPU School of Education faculty, which is composed of professors who are knowledgeable, experienced, and caring. A school is definitely doing something right when all the faculty members know you by name and ! care about your progress. There is also a student group, Teac! hers of Tomorrow, which brings over 80 students together to participate in amazing service opportunities both on the campus of High Point University, and off campus in the local schools and community. The School of Education is indeed extraordinary, caring, and friendly. Hope this helps!...Show more
