Rubi Romo: The best maintenance you can give to your car would be to go by the book, (The Owner's Manual). If you can do the work youself and have a place where you can get under the car, then you will soon learn of ways to enhance your service. The big thing now under discussion is the use of long lasting, high cost, man made synthetic oils. Some of these oils are suggested to be used for 10,000 to 15,000 miles. Like Mobil One. Saving a buck will come from when you do the work yourself, even with the long inspection intervals of 30K, 60K, 90K miles....Show more
Ronnie Barcus: the most important thing is to keep the oil changed every 3000 miles, have all fluid levels checked at least 1 time a month, proper tire air pressure, a tune up every year or so depending on the miles you drive, transmission flush @ 70,000 miles, coolant flush every two years, keep a good wax on the painted surface, have the belt checked every 6 months for dry cracks, find a good service shop ! that has a good record. beware of those speedy oil change shops. You can buy a manual (haynes) at most auto parts stores for about 20.00 for your car that has a maintenance section in it, a good investment! good luck, hope this helped you....Show more
Riley Migl: the person that answered firt pretty much has it on the nose, except that he forgot that when you change the oil, you should check your air filter, you don't need to replace it, just bang out the dust.slightly used filters are better then brand new filtersand if you really feel like it, replace your fuel filter every, 15,000-20,000 miles. most people don't ever change it, and every 15,000miles you should replace your transmission filter but most people don't do that either...Show more
