I got a new retainer in hopes that it could move the tooth back into place. It hasn't. I have a dental appointment in November and I really don't want braces again! My orthodontist said so.)...Show moreanswers 1:He can probably fiz the retainer tighten it and what ever else to fix itanswers 2:you don't HAVE to get braces, that is up to you (well, really your parents). since your bite is fine and it is just one tooth, ! then there are some other things that you can try. first, you say that you got a new retainer but are you wearing it only at night? if yes (and since it is post-braces from a yr ago you were prob. told to only wear them at night), try wearing them 24/7 for several wks (for about 4-6 wks). if this doesn't work, there is a specific type of retainer (spring hawley) that allows the slight movement of a few teeth. so, you may want to ask your ortho about that if the first suggestion doesn't work.if your tooth doesn't move, and are told that braces are the only think that will "fix" it, then you can make the decision at that time. if the tooth doesn't bother you, then don't get the braces again.hope this helps! :]...answers 3:oh my gosh me too! now my best entrance 2 enamel have this bizarre hole among them. i suppose i am simply gonna wait till i am a little bit older after which get invisalign braces, considering the fact that i've critical doubts that retainers will repair the! hole, seeing that retainers are simply intended to maintain y! our enamel wherein they're.answers 4:I had braces for 21/2 years, and I still have this one bottom front tooth that is crooked. My retainer doesn't shift it back into place-that's just how my teeth are. No, you don't HAVE to get braces again! No one is going to make you don anything. If your bite is fine, then don't trip. Just make sure to wear your retainers, and, like one of these answers said, maybe you should get the re-fitted. But don't trip about that one tooth.
