Alma Twomey: I don't necessarily agree with the idea that Audis are junk, though I do agree that if you already are not well-heeled that the repairs could end up costing you more $$ than you may have available.If y! ou're going to spend $5,000 or maybe up to $9,000, most front-wheel drive cars will get the job done. I understand that driving in that part of the country can be less than ideal, However, all you need is a car that has traction control. This will be a saving grace especially in tough winter weather.Maybe for that kind of money, your other option would be a 2001-2006 Subaru Outback or Impreza (sedan or wagon) might meet your need without incurring the cost of something like an Audi.
