Do I really need an AS degree or certificate to get a job in the computer networking field, etc?

Rodolfo Merel: NO. Even though i am a networking student i am searching job in networking i am also attending many interviews. So when i went to interview they are not asking any certificates they are asking only degree for mind maturity only

Julienne Poplawski: Do you need it? No.Is it highly recommended? Yes, I would say so. When you go for your first job, they're going to look at a few things:1. Your education - what type - how long - what your marks were2. Any work experience you have already - through a co-op or summer break employment3. Others, but those are significantly less important (to me at least)So, if you don't have even an AS degree, you're going up against people with 4 year computer degrees - you're way behind already. If you have great work experience, you can overcome that, but it puts much more emphasis on it.Is Computer Network stressful and not fun? Well it's a job like any other.
