Pre-cooked apple filling for apple pies?

Marco Stolarz: Some recipes call for one and some for the other. It all depends on your recipe and the time you have to put into making it. Both taste just as nice to me. With a good crust, I'll even take store-bought filling.

Buster Exline: A lot of times the apples don't get soft enough if you cook them just in the crust. I would suggest if you want really soft apples to pre cook the filling.
