Magda Vandergriend: You can explain your employment gap by claiming to be looking for work. But from now, it would be a good idea to take up any kind of jobs, even volunteering or a one-day job. If nothing comes by, enroll into a short and useful training course. Don't let this gap get even bigger. Ask around your friends if they can get anyone to refer you.
Wilburn Denice: Put "looking for work"
Josefine Weekey: Gaps in employment- Enrolled in college they can't prove you didn't If they ask for a degree you can always say you were non matirculated.Family crisis - as in caring for a sick or elderly relative again they can't prove you didn't. Volunteered for whatever organization- you could use this NOW and say you were helping Hurricane Sandy survivors, they can't prove you didn't.As for the volunteering- Find a large organization in your area and say you volunteered for them, those places are so big they wouldn't know whether you did or not.You can say you! volunteered on the past presidential camapaign. Those places pack up and leave and have many volunteers they wouldn't be able to comfirm or deny whether you did or not.If you are female you can say you cared for a child. It doesn't have to be YOUR child. How would they know you didn't have non legal temporary custody of a minor child who was a relative. Actually this could work for a male too.You ran yor own home based business, They can't prove you didn't. You could have been sold AVON and the turnover at AVON is so high the reference thing won't be a problem.Employers are being jerks when ppl really need to work, applicants need to get creative in order to get ahead.Hope this helps...Show more
