Animals adapting to the environment?

Gus Leiby: First off, penguins are birds and do not have fur - they have feathers. The idea behind survival of the fittest is that there is always genetic variation. So whoever has the veriation best suited to the environment will have a better chance of feeding itself and its young. Also, it will be more likely to be able to survive the conditions in the area, as well have increased mating success.Animals and plants and basically everything will either adapt or become extinct....Show more
