Matt Gerdeman: you can use it for a spot treatment, but from my past experience, putting it in the wash machine in place of detergent causes a huge amount of suds, which end up leaking from the machine.
Deangelo Marchak: Yes, you can use dish soap. I use it to remove stains. Just rinse well with cold water.
Rebeca Mckin: Dish soap would work if you scrub a lot. And also use a lot of water.
Betsey Copp: if u have a regular top loading washer you should be fine if you have a HE (high effencey washer)then u will get errors an have soap everywhere
Ollie Hamiel: depends on how much you used...probably has about the same cleaning power but because of different grades and ingredients, dish soap foams more than laundry detergent. Keep an eye on the washing machine while it cycles.
