How to build a home theater yourself?

Bo Perham: There might be a local company that would do it for you. Or you could try and do it yourself. Crutchfield is a good company to get your electronics from. They will usually include all of the extra installation supplies for free.http://www.crutchfield.com/c_4/Home-Theater-Audio....

Jimmie Doerfler: where do you live at, if in florida, i might be able to do it for you.

Francis Stickle: There are a ton of places that will set up a home theater for you...These things are not cheap though and adding labor is never a good thingAs for how you see the movie; most people opt for the projector and screen but you can also use a large flatscreen tv. The price range for an HD projector and Flatscreen TV is about the same so it is really just user preference. You will also want some sort of surround sound also not cheap, Bose is definately one of the best but you pay for the quality and a small system probably wont sound all that different....Show more

Isr! eal Kochheiser: It's more fun doing it yourself - that was you cna hook it up how you want to.Just buy:TV/ProjectorAmpSpeakersBlu-Ray playerand your set.Look online of eBay for supplies - the more you spend the better it will be. If you want the full-on Home Theatre Experience buy stuff with the THX logo on it for optumum quality....Show more

Ricardo Rozelle: You mean a dedicated home theater room? You can simply paint a blank wall with flat-grey paint, put up a projector and a 5.1 sound system and a DVD player. There are dedicated home theater fourms where members have converted spare room to theater rooms. I strongly suggest you look for these and read the postings about all the issues and ideas others have had....Show more
