I''m in LA, and some of the high schools have just as good, or better, arts programs than the well respected arts high schools in the area.There are arts boarding schools. They are very expensive $40,000 - 50,000+ a year, and the competition to be admitted, and for financial aid (which typically only covers a part of tuition), is very tough. Granville Stray: You wouldn't be allowed to attend the NYC public schools (and many perf! orming arts high schools in NYC are public) because you are not a resident of NYC.My daughter just got into Laguardia High School in Manhattan. She got in for fine art, but it's well known as a major performing arts high school as well. It's a very competitive school to get into, and you MUST be a resident of NYC to go there....Show more
